UPSC Recruitment 2024: In the General Central Service, Group C, non-gazetted, non-ministerial role, the Union Public Service Commission is offering eligible and qualified applicants the chance to become Staff Car Drivers (ordinary grade) in the UPSC office by deputation, absorption or re-employment. There are three seats opened by UPSC.

A monthly salary of Level-2 of the pay matrix (Rs. 19900–63200) will be given to the selected applicants for UPSC Recruitment 2024 on a deputation, absorption, or reemployment basis. As of the application deadline for UPSC Recruitment 2024, the upper age restriction for deputation appointments must not exceed 56 years.

The following criteria must be met by regular multitaskers and dispatch riders employed by the Union Public Service Commission: possession of a valid driving license; knowledge of motor mechanisms (applicants should be able to remove minor vehicle defects); experience driving a motor vehicle for at least three years; and completion of the 10th standard pass.

In accordance with UPSC Recruitment 2024, the candidate’s length of deputation, which includes the time spent in another ex-cadre post held just before this appointment in the same organization or another Department of Central Government, will typically not exceed three years. Deputation or Absorption:-
From among the regular multitasking employees and dispatch riders employed by the Union Public Service Commission who meet the requirements listed below for direct recruits:

  • Possession of valid driving license for motor cars;
  • Knowledge of motor mechanism (the candidates should be able to remove minor defects in the vehicle);
  • At least three years' worth of experience behind the wheel of an automobile; and
  • 10th standard pass.

Failing which from officials holding the post of Despatch Rider on regular basis or regular Multi Tasking Staff or equivalent in other Ministries of the Central Government who fulfill the qualifications as mentioned for direct recruits.

For Armed Forces Personnel:-

Deputation or Re-employment:-
The following military personnel are eligible for retirement or to be placed on reserve within a year if they meet the requirements and have the necessary experience:

  • Possession of valid driving license for motor cars;
  • Knowledge of motor mechanism (the candidates should be able to remove minor defects in the vehicle);
  • A minimum of three years experience behind the wheel of a vehicle; and
  • 10th standard pass

Should also be taken into consideration. If chosen, these officers will be placed on deputation until their scheduled release from the armed forces, at which point they may be placed on reemployment terms.

Compensation for UPSC Recruitment 2024:

The chosen candidates for UPSC Recruitment 2024 will be paid a monthly salary given below on a deputation, absorption, or reemployment basis:

  • Level-2 of the pay matrix (Rs.19900- 63200).

Duration for UPSC Recruitment 2024:

The candidate's period of deputation, including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other organization or Department of Central Government, shall not ordinarily exceed three years under the UPSC Recruitment 2024.

Applications (in duplicate) must only be submitted on the official UPSC Recruitment 2024 proforma for qualified candidates whose services can be spared immediately upon selection. Certificates from the forwarding authority (in pro forma) and the following papers must also be submitted.

  • Certificate of integrity.
  • List any significant or minor sanctions the official has received over the last ten years; if none, an accompanying "NII" certificate should be provided.
  • Certificate of Vigilance Clearance.
  • Attested photocopies of the APARs for the last five years (2018–19 to 2022–23) that have been verified on each page by a government of India officer with at least the rank of Under Secretary.
