Mega Recruitment Drive for Engineering Graduates in PSPCL, More than 135 Seats Available for Assistant Engineer Post

PSPCL Recruitment for Engineering Graduates: Punjab State’s power generating and distributing company PSPCL (Punjab State Power Corporation Limited) has announced to hire for engineering graduates for the position of Assistant Engineer/OT. PSPCL will hire students in the civil and electrical domains for Assistant Engineer/OT (Electrical) and Assistant Engineer/OT (Civil) posts. PSPCL is intending to absorb 139 graduates of these domains, out of which 14 vacancies are in the Civil domain and 125 vacancies are in the Electrical discipline. PSPCL will also give due reservation t various categories based on the GoI (Government of India) norms. The application form for this recruitment has been made available on the official website of the PSPCL since 8th July 2023.

As this is a government-sector job, the students selected will be paid handsomely as per the pay scale defined by the Department of Finance of the Punjab Government. The chosen candidates will be trained so that they will be able to perform the assigned task. The training will probably be conducted at the Technical Training Institute of Patiala. PSPCL will charge an application fee of Rs 1200+Rs216(18% GST) from General, OBC, and EWS students and Rs 750+Rs135(18%GST) from PwD (Person with Disability) and SC candidates.

PSPCL Recruitment for Engineering Graduates: Eligibility Parameters

PSPCL has clearly laid out various eligibility parameters for this recruitment process. Prospective aspirants must be able to satisfy the below-mentioned eligibility parameters to take part in the recruitment drive:

•   The age of the eligible students should be more than or equal to 18 years and less than or equal to 37 years (age relaxation provided for reserved candidates as per government norms)
• Eligible aspirants must have a B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc Engineering (4-year) in a full-time mode in Civil Engineering, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, or equivalent with at least 60% marks
• Applicants must have given and qualified the GATE 2023 in the relevant paper

The qualifying marks (to be eligible to apply for this recruitment drive) for GATE 2023 is 25 (for AE/OT) (Electrical) and 26.6 for AE/OT (Civil) for general category students. PSPCL will not conduct any other examination to hire suitable candidates. They will be hired solely on the basis of marks scored in the GATE 2023 exam.
