Indian Army Begins Recruitment Process for NCC Special Entry Scheme, Get Complete Details

Indian Army NCC Special Entry Scheme: The Indian Army has released the recruitment process for the NCC Special Entry Scheme for its 55th Course which will begin in April 2024. This recruitment is being done to hire suitable Officers (both Men and Women) for Short Service Commission (NT). It is a golden opportunity for candidates who are part of the NCC (National Cadet Corps). The Indian Army has notified a total of 55 vacancies, 50 for NCC Men cadets and 05 for NCC Women cadets. The Indian Army has also kept aside 06 seats (01 for Women and 05 for Men) for the wards of battle casualties of the Indian Army Personnel. The Indian Army will hire only those candidates who are currently Unmarried.

The Service period of the Officers selected through this recruitment process will be of 14 years (10 compulsory years + 04 optional years). Eligible NCC students must have obtained a bachelor’s degree (with a minimum of 50% marks) and must possess an NCC ‘C’ certificate. NCC Certificate requirement has been relaxed for the wards of battle casualties of the Indian Army Personnel. The prescribed age limit of the eligible candidates for this Indian Army hiring process is 19 years to 25 years (born on or between 2nd January 1999 to 1st January 2005). Indian Army will pay a handsome salary to all the officers selected through this recruitment which will be as per pay scale level 10 (Rs 56100-177500).

The selected cadets of the NCC will undergo training for 49 weeks at the OTA (Officers Training Academy) Chennai before induction into the Indian Army. The trained officers will be commissioned at the rank of Lieutenant. Indian Army will select the best cadets of the NCC and the wards of battle casualties of the Indian Army Personnel through its formal selection process of shortlisting, SSB (Service Selection Board), and Medical Examination. The online process of this special entry scheme for NCC is active on the official website of the Indian Army for 15 hours on 5th July 2023. Desirous candidates will be able to submit their candidature up to 15 hours on 3rd August 2023.
